We are looking to recruit an experienced Development Infrastructure Engineer to support the continuing success of our Birmingham office.
We are looking for an Associate Engineer to provide design expertise and support on a varied range of schemes for private developers within one of the UK's leading independent consultancies.
For the right individual, this is an excellent opportunity to help develop a strategically important sector of the business. PJA is currently engaged in several projects ranging from small scale development up to larger scale projects ranging between 150 to 5000 residential units and supporting infrastructure.
Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent qualification) and relevant post graduate experience in a similar role of with 10+ years, with good knowledge of both on-site strategic road and drainage design. They will have experience in the design of both commercial and residential developments from appraisal stage, through to planning and detailed design of infrastructure, external works and drainage.
They Will Also Have
- In depth Knowledge and experience of road and drainage design standards.
- In depth Knowledge and experience of drainage design standards – Sewers for Adoption, Sewerage Sector Guidance, Code of Adoption Agreement and The SuDS Manual (CIRIA C753)
- In depth Knowledge of highway and drainage adoption processes and legal requirements for S278, S38 and S104.
- Excellent understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Site3D and Flow / Micro Drainage.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain good records
