Staff within IDRIS have a reputation for undertaking complex clinical studies of health and social care interventions and educational research with children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual disabilities. We are a new research Institute, and we aim to be one of the most productive research groups internationally, and the leading research group in the United Kingdom in applied research involving people with intellectual disabilities. IDRIS is the home of some of the world's most highly cited researchers working with people with intellectual disabilities. The successful applicant will join a growing research team comprised currently of five professors, three associate professors, four assistant professors, and more than 20 research staff and PhD students. Several existing senior staff undertake clinical duties within the NHS.
The successful post holder will undertake clinical work within Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust as an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist.
