Job Overview
The Psychology Adult Mental Health (AMH) Service is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT), based in Bro Cerwyn, Haverfordwest. This is a permanent, 1.00 wte (5 days/37.5 hours per week) Band 5 Assistant Psychologist position to work in the community, and the successful applicant will be working alongside the Assistant Psychologists across the other counties (Carmarthen, Aberystwyth, and Llanelli).

The post-holder needs to be able to demonstrate innovation, commitment, and enthusiasm for improving the psychological needs of people with a range of (complex) mental health conditions. They must be able to work both independently and as a member of the CRHTT Psychology Service and wider CRHTT to support the existing services.

Applicants must have a recognised upper second-class honours degree in Psychology and have the Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Experience of working with clinical populations would be beneficial.

Main duties of the job
Facilitating the development of collaborative formulations and delivering standardised, low-level interventions to the local population under the care of the CRHTT, and under the supervision of the Principal Practitioner (Counselling) Psychologist.

Assisting with the administration of psychometrics/questionnaires and the collation of data to support onward analysis and Service Evaluations.

To also undertake protocol-based psychological assessment of clients using psychological tests, including neuropsychological assessments, self-reported measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with clients.

Promoting the involvement of family members and other supportive others in the client's care and treatment whilst under the CRHTT, where appropriate.

Evidencing a high standard of clinical governance, including concise yet informative record keeping and developing clinical reports and correspondence to key stakeholders, including the client and referrer, for review by the clinical supervisor.

Promoting the clinical development and wellbeing of colleagues within the CRHTT Psychology Service, wider CRHTT and further teams within the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
