Personal Assistant / Carer

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and occasional Sundays — 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (16 hours per week)

Shift Flexibility: Occasional adjustments to accommodate hospital appointments

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support a lady in Luton living with fibromyalgia, SND disorder, arthritis, and COPD. The role focuses on promoting independence, supporting daily living, and enhancing quality of life.

You'll be working closely with the individual to provide personal care, mobility support, and help with household tasks and community engagement — ensuring a safe, comfortable, and fulfilling daily routine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care Support: Assist with washing, dressing, and other personal care tasks as required.
  • Medication Management: Prompt and support with medication adherence.
  • Mobility Assistance: Support safe movement using a stick or walker.
  • Household Tasks: Perform light domestic duties such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and assist with meals, considering dietary needs and preferences.
  • Social and Community Engagement: Encourage and accompany the individual on outings such as walks, swimming, or museum visits.
  • Health and Well-being: Support physical activity and general wellness.
  • Appointments: Assist with transport and attendance at medical and hospital appointments.
