Lead Sales Representative

To ensure the continued growth of our business we are recruiting for a Lead Sales Representative. You will manage and coach the Territory Sales Representatives in your area to maximise new account openings.

The Role
- You will lead and coach the Territory Sales Representatives to exceed new account targets.
- Hold regular strategy meetings as appropriate with Sales Representatives. Ensuring that you have a clear agenda and outputs, providing an opportunity to share best demonstrated practices.
- Liaise closely with the Depot and Area Managers gaining input, sharing strategies and forecasting for your area.
- Collaborate with Depot Managers to generate new ways in which to promote and sell the range of Howdens products and our in stock model, increasing new account interest.
- You will be the first point of contact for the Territory Sales Representative queries or concerns, offering practical solutions and coaching for idea generation.
- Spend time with the Territory Sales Representatives individually and in groups to identify development needs and find ways to help them improve in all aspects of their day to day duties.
- Introduce collaborative ways of working between the Territory Sales Representatives, Business Developers and other teams; ensuring that a higher SPA and more frequent trading is achieved from the account base.
- You will stay informed and analyse competitor activity, as well as keeping abreast of industry activities by actively reading internal and external publications to develop product and lead generation knowledge
- Compile monthly reports documenting new accounts and sales information in order to monitor performance, identify trends and enable sound business decisions to be made and/or recommended

- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- You must have proven influencing and sales skills.
- Extensive knowledge of product and services is required
- Must be customer focused and commercially astute.
- You will be results driven.
- Able to plan and organise your own work load.
- Be flexible and approachable.
- You will motive and inspire your team.
- Be an ambassador for Howdens.
