This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. BBC Operations Team: The BBC Scotland Business Operations Support Team is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the heart of BBC content delivery, where you will gain hands-on experience and a recognised qualification. You will work across Scheduling and Client Teams, providing key support functions that keep our programmes, content, and people running smoothly. This work involves supporting the management of workflows, scheduling processes, client relationships, and operational planning, offering a unique chance to develop professional skills in a real-world environment.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
As a Business Administrator (BAA26) apprentice, this is a brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute—you will:
- Provide the critical, day-to-day administrative support that ensures the operational team runs efficiently and effectively
- Help the team maintain momentum, keep projects on track, and ensure key content delivery deadlines are consistently met
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across various departments, ensuring smooth information flow and network growth
- Rapidly learn and utilise the complex systems, procedures, and core business skills required to operate within a major global organisation
- Work at pace to identify and solve operational and administrative problems as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the delivery workflow
You'll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means you'll spend at least one day a week studying for a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with our learning provider, using its virtual delivery platform.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:
- Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
- Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme, whether with the BBC or another organisation
- Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area (Business Administration) at the same or a higher level than this apprenticeship.
- Identify as disabled under the Equality Act

- Have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or above or an equivalent qualification.
