About The Role

The Furniture Warehouse is a rapidly expanding furniture retailer with 8 stores across the East Midlands and a website selling nationally, specialising in high quality, low cost furniture and accessories for every room in the home.

We are seeking a creative and strategic Part-Time Social Media Executive with strong graphic design skills to manage, create, and optimise content across our social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands digital trends, has a strong visual eye, and can independently handle end-to-end content creation and social media management. The role could suite someone who has proven experience but now balances other responsibilities day to day.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management including; plan, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) in line with brand events and product promotions.

To achieve this, you would develop and execute monthly content calendars aligned with brand goals. Monitor social media performance, track KPIs, and prepare insights-driven reports. Stay updated on trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging digital opportunities.

Engagement & Community Management for a locally represented retail brand is vital; You would help to manage audience interactions, respond to comments/messages, and strengthen brand engagement as well as identify and engage with influencers, partners, and relevant online communities.

Content Creation & Graphic Design; design high-quality graphics, visuals, templates, and social media assets using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, etc. Assist with basic photo/video editing, reels creation, and story design. Ensure current brand consistency across all digital content is maintained.

Collaboration with the team to develop a creative campaign ideas is key.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Social Media Executive, Content Creator, or similar role. Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio of social media graphics and a proficiency in design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar). You will have a good understanding of social media insights, analytics, and KPIs.

Excellent copywriting and communication skills are necessary with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.

Knowledge of basic video editing and short-form content creation or the ability to be taught is a plus.

This is a PART TIME role and we can be FLEXIBLE on hours for the right person based on 25 hours per week.

The starting salary is £25,000 P/A. You will also benefit from a generous staff discount programme.
