Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in their homes or care facilities. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of those in their care. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance as required
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met
  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans and instructions
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition
  • Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
  • Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalised support is delivered
  • Support clients with household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising errands
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary

Requirements

  • Valid driving licence and access to reliable transportation
  • Experience working in a care home or home care environment preferred
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to assist others
  • Ability to work independently whilst following organisational policies and procedures

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Work Location: On the road
