Hyde is looking for a Communications Officer (Customer) to help deliver clear, consistent, and engaging communications that strengthen customer understanding, improve satisfaction, and support our organisational priorities.

As a Communications Officer at Hyde, you will work closely with operational teams, senior leaders, and colleagues across the Communications function to turn complex information into accessible, impactful content. You'll play a key role in shaping messages that encourage positive customer behaviours, promote the use of digital and self-service channels, and support the delivery of a modern, trusted, and customer-focused organisation.

You'll also collaborate with our Digital Communications & Brand Team to plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns, manage content across our digital platforms, and ensure all communications reflect Hyde's tone of voice, visual identity, and accessibility standards.

Key Duties

  • Work with Operational Services teams to understand their goals and produce clear, accessible communications tailored to the right audiences.
  • Provide expert advice on messaging, tone, and format to help colleagues communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Translate complex legal, financial, or strategic information into simple, relevant content for customers and stakeholders.
  • Produce professional communications for digital platforms, reports, emails, presentations, campaigns, and events.
  • Write high-quality copy that reflects Hyde's tone of voice and adapts to different channels and audiences.
  • Support media activity including drafting statements, responding to press enquiries, and engaging with sector and local media.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Communications & Brand Team to create and update content for the website, intranet, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Support the development of creative and multimedia materials to enhance campaign reach and impact.
  • Help plan, schedule, and coordinate communications activity to ensure timely and consistent delivery across the organisation.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all content meets Hyde's brand and accessibility standards.
  • Work flexibly as part of the wider Communications Team.
