Bespak are looking for a Model-Based Systems Engineer on a permanent contract for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this new position within the business is between £53k and £60k. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.
Working Pattern – Mon to Fri – Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible and look at what works for you within the needs of the business. There is some flexibility in this onsite position within the needs of the business.

As a Model-Based Systems Engineer, you will support the implementation of MBSE and in silico practices across the product lifecycle. Your primary responsibility will be working with senior engineers to develop and maintain system models, ensuring traceability from requirements through to verification. You will assist in preparing digital simulations and help integrate physical lab data into the digital thread. Additionally, you will be responsible for the configuration control of system models and managing documentation within the PDM environment. Your collaboration with various engineering teams will be crucial to keeping digital models consistent with product evolution.

- Developing and maintaining structured SysML system models.
- Supporting model traceability across the product lifecycle.
- Preparing and running FEA and CFD simulations.
- Collecting lab data for model calibration and validation.
- Managing model documentation and configuration within PDM.
- Collaborating with engineers to ensure model consistency.
Model-Based Systems Engineer, preferred key skills and experience:
- A degree in Systems, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Familiarity with SysML, CAD, and simulation software.
- Experience with analytical methods for FEA/CFD validation.
- Understanding of MBSE, systems thinking, and PDM.
- Knowledge of regulated development frameworks like ISO 13485.
- Excellent communication and data presentation skills.
- Experience with statistical, experimental, and analytical methods for FEA/CFD validation.
- Managing CAD data and documentation within the PDM.

We are a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers development and manufacturing solutions for a variety of medications, including medical devices such as pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI), soft mist inhalers (SMI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nasal sprays and medical check valves.
This could suit someone who has experience as an MBSE Engineer, Digital Systems Engineer, Systems Design Engineer, Control Systems Engineer and Simulation Engineer. It would be beneficial to have experience in any of the following CAE, CFD, DEM or FEA.
