Description Receptionist – Hammersmith £32,409 PA Full Time or Job Share Opportunity We're looking for a professional, personable, and proactive Corporate Receptionist to be the welcoming face of a prestigious commercial building in Hammersmith. Whether you're seeking a full-time position or prefer a job share, this role offers the chance to create an exceptional front-of-house experience for tenants, clients, and visitors. Hours & Salary Full-Time Role: Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm - £32,409 per annum Job Share Options: Role 1: Monday – Wednesday | 8:00am – 5:00pm – £19, Role 2: Thursday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm – £12,963.60
Key Responsibilities Reception Management
- Set up and maintain a welcoming, professional reception area that reflects the expectations of both clients and tenants
- Greet and manage all visitors, becoming the friendly and familiar face of the building
- Represent the developer or landlord in a knowledgeable and professional manner
- Oversee all deliveries, including couriers and post
- Provide general administrative support as required
- Submit weekly reports on site activity, where necessary
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, agents, and contractors
- Ensure the reception area is consistently presented to the highest standard
- Liaise with the property or facilities manager to ensure contractor works are carried out efficiently
- Identify and report issues promptly, following through to resolution
- Maintain a strong focus on building security
- Take a proactive, solution-focused approach to day-to-day challenges
- Produce a comprehensive local amenities guide and develop in-depth knowledge of the surrounding area
- Create and circulate an engaging tenant newsletter
- Research, support, and implement added-value services (with client approval) such as car valeting, dry cleaning, fitness memberships, professional networking, and sustainability initiatives
- Negotiate tenant discounts or complimentary offers with local shops, restaurants, and gyms (subject to client approval)
- Organise and support promotional activities, such as pop-up markets and seasonal events (e.g. summer and Christmas functions), supporting local businesses wherever possible
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in a front-of-house, hospitality, or corporate reception role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using PCs, with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Familiarity with social media platforms
- Event planning and coordination skills
- Desirable: Experience using Canva or other graphic design tools
- Advantageous: Understanding of building operations and facilities management
