Our client is recruiting a Manager to lead a key area within Financial Control, with a clear focus on partnership accounting. You'll manage a small team and take responsibility for all partner-related financial matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth operational delivery.

Role Overview

You'll own and maintain partner standing data, capital accounts, current accounts, and tax retention accounts. You'll also oversee profit allocations and act as a primary contact for partner financial queries. The role includes supporting month-end and year-end processes, managing audit deliverables, and coordinating on VAT and partnership tax submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate partner data and profit allocation models.
  • Manage partner capital, current and tax retention accounts and monthly drawings.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close, audit, and tax reporting.
  • Oversee VAT returns and liaise with external tax advisors on partnership tax submissions.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively and drive process improvements.
  • Provide guidance to team members and support decision-making.

About You

  • Qualified or part-qualified accounting background, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in a financial control environment, ideally with partnership accounting exposure.
  • Confident supervising others and providing technical guidance.
  • Able to interpret policy, improve processes, and manage complex data with accuracy.
  • Strong communicator who can influence, support, and build trust across the firm.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to act decisively.
