FULL AND PART TIME HOURS

With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for innovative individuals to join the Urology Team within the Surgical Directorate in NHS Tayside.

This post provides the opportunity for an experiencedregistered nurse to influence and develop the practice within the Urology Team.

You will demonstrate essential clinical leadership skills required to lead both the nursing and multidisciplinary team providing clinical support and advice to nursing and junior medical staff within the speciality. The applicant must demonstrate experience in managing competing demands within a busy environment whilst safely and effectively coordinating resources. You should also demonstrate commitment to providing high standards of nursing care and have proven ability to influence changes in practice. You must have current or previous post registration experience within the Urology service and/or demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice developed through experience and theoretical knowledge. This post will include cross site working.

Candidates who do not meet the Specialist Nurse Urology criteria are welcome to apply and be considered for a trainee role and will be supported to undertake required education and supervised practice to develop their competence and confidence to fulfil the duties of an Specialist Nurse Urology across the four pillars of practice for advanced practice. It is an expectation that as a trainee you will successfully achieve the required qualifications as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the first 18 to 24 months of appointment.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
