Post Details Band 6 – Specialist Cardiac Physiologist or Band 5 – Trainee Cardiac Physiologist. This post is an exciting opportunity for either a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist or a Trainee Cardiac Physiologist to join the Tayside team based at Ninewells Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary. The Cardiology departments deliver a comprehensive range of invasive and non‑invasive investigations including Coronary Angiography, Primary PCI, ICD, CRT‑D, Pacemakers, injectable loop implantation, Echocardiography (TTE & TOE), stress testing (RACP), Chest Pain Clinics, ambulatory monitoring and routine ECG service. The successful Band 6 candidate will be expected to work across all areas and therefore be appropriately qualified and experienced. If not experienced in all areas, further development opportunities will be provided. Applications are invited from physiologists with a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, AHCS registration (or equivalent), and a current qualification in Immediate Life Support (desirable). Trainees are post‑graduate Life Science students completing the Practitioner Trainee Programme (PTP) in Cardiac Science to become a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, Band 6. Equivalent Degree Requirements Physiology / Anatomy & Physiology Sports Medicine (with evidence of anatomy and physiology studies) Biomedical Science (with evidence of anatomy and physiology studies) Applicants must evidence ability to study and learn practical skills in cardiac investigations through structured learning and accreditation, demonstrating sound knowledge and commitment to becoming independent practitioners.
