Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organisation experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core solutions. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.

What's it all about?

Based in London and reporting to the European Direct‑to‑Corporate Lead, in this Senior Business Development Manager role you will drive execution of Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) sales and relationship initiatives across 37 European markets, delivering pipeline and revenue outcomes. You will build and scale ecosystem sales partnerships with travel networks and other strategic industry networks to open doors and co-sell—enabling full-cycle creation and closing of opportunities with large and mid‑market corporates and accelerating Corporate T&E and B2B cardable growth. In parallel, you will identify new B2B digital payment flows and, working with Visa teams and external partners, bring them to market, while leading executive‑level conversations with large and mid‑market corporates to shape brand preference and position Visa as the partner of choice. The ideal candidate is a proven commercial‑payments sales executive with strong B2B domain expertise, renowned for innovative thinking, collaborative leadership, and analytical problem solving.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Drive execution of the Direct‑to‑Corporate strategy and pipeline for VCS Europe in partnership with VCS Teams, Account Executives, and B2B Acceptance/merchant teams, contributing to revenue outcomes.
  • Build and deepen partnerships with travel networks and technology providers to position Visa as the partner of choice and fuel VCS growth.
  • Translate segment and corporate needs into VCS opportunities, demonstrating value to Financial Institution clients, Treasurers or Procurement professionals.
  • Maintain a coordinated selling motion with Visa's Financial Institutions and Account Executive teams, aligning go‑to‑market activities and advancing joint opportunities.
  • Understand corporate requirements, educate their stakeholders, and influence their strategy to align with Visa's commercial capabilities and deliver best‑fit solutions.
  • Identify B2B payment pain points, co‑design solutions with Product and Solution Sales, leverage Visa capabilities, and manage opportunities from scoping through delivery.
  • Leverage this skill set to serve as a consultative leader in VCS Europe, proactively and independently targeting corporates whose needs fit our solutions.
  • Monitor the market and competitive landscape to surface opportunities and strategies that reinforce Visa's leadership.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications
  • High degree of self‑direction and accountability; disciplined execution and delivery.
  • Proven experience leading corporate‑facing business development or solution‑sales teams in the commercial payment ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated success with a consultative sales approach—meeting targets, progressing complex deals, and solving problems to achieve win‑win outcomes.
  • Effective in complex, multicultural matrix environments; resilient through change and ambiguity.
  • Strong understanding of corporate payment challenges with practical insight into European markets.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial card solutions for Travel & Entertainment and B2B supplier payments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on delivering sales results.
  • Natural collaborator with excellent communication skills and executive presence; able to influence across internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Credible relationship builder with peers and senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English (excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills); proficiency in another European language is a plus.
