Used Car Sales Controller

Saltmarine Cars on the main M1 Motorway have an opportunity for a Used Car Sales Controller to join our Hyundai sales department and become part of our award-winning team

We are seeking an organised, driven, and detail-focused Used Car Controller to support our Hyundai Sales Department to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a key role responsible for managing all aspects of our used vehicle stock, presentation standards, and administrative processes.

About the Role:

As our Used Car Controller, you will oversee the full used-car lifecycle - from appraisal and preparation, online listing, forecourt presentation, and stock reporting. You'll work closely with our Sales Manager, Sales Executives, and preparation teams to ensure every vehicle meets the highest standards and is marketed effectively. You will also support the Hyundai franchise by ensuring all vehicles meet the expectations and brand standards associated with Hyundai Motor Company.

Main Duties:

• Manage all used-car stock, including incoming, existing, and sold vehicles
• Coordinate preparation work with workshop/valeting teams to ensure timely turnaround
• Carry out accurate vehicle appraisals and record key information
• Photograph and upload vehicles to digital retailing platforms with high-quality descriptions
• Maintain an immaculate display area and ensure all vehicles are fuelled, clean, and well-presented
• Produce and manage stock lists, pricing checks, and ageing reports
• Monitor online advert performance and make adjustments to maximise leads
• Liaise with Sales Executives to ensure vehicle availability and documentation accuracy
• Support part-exchange processes and assist with valuations where required
• Ensure compliance with company and franchise standards at all times

Personal Specification:

• Experience in a motor retail sales environment is essential
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Confident working with technology, online platforms, and dealership systems
• Ability to multitask and work calmly in a fast-paced environment
• Full UK driving licence required
• Professional, positive, and proactive mindset
