We are seeking an experienced and motivated Used Car Buyer to join our team, specialising in sourcing and acquiring Audi vehicles. Working closely with our Used car buying team you'll be responsible for managing your own purchasing activity across the South West and Wales, ensuring our stock levels meet group requirements and company standards.

The Role

As a Used Car Buyer, you'll take ownership of sourcing high-quality used vehicles through various channels – including trade contacts, auctions, and private sellers. You'll play a key role in maintaining the quality, profitability, and diversity of our retail stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confidently and accurately appraise, value, and purchase vehicles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the dealer network.
  • Work proactively and independently to identify new stock opportunities.
  • Ensure all purchases align with company policy and deliver strong retail profitability.
  • Support other buyers during periods of absence.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

In order to be successful you will have:

We're looking for someone with a proven track record in used car buying, ideally within a premium brand environment. You may currently be a Used Car Buyer, Sales Manager, or Transaction Manager seeking your next challenge.

  • Volkswagen group buying experience
  • Experience with large used car buying platforms
  • Strong experience appraising, valuing, and sourcing used vehicles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail motor industry and premium franchises.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A keen eye for quality and profitability.

You'll be primarily based in our Bristol and Cardiff offices, collaborating closely with our established buying team.
