Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations effectively.
- Handle patient inquiries both in person and over the phone with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation of the reception area to create a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental practice role essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using office software and dental practice management R4 systems is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- A friendly disposition with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
