London Area, United Kingdom Needl Full time £40,000 - £60,000 per year

Fraud Analyst - (£40k-£60k + equity)

Needl Search has partnered with an emerging RegTech to hire a brand new shiny Fraud Analyst.

What you'll do:

  • Analyse scams submitted by consumers and partners, spotting trends, emerging

threats, and common tactics.

  • Feed insights into our AI, creating rules, flags, and structured feedback that help

the system continuously improve.

  • Produce high-quality educational content (articles, alerts, guides, and social

posts) to inform and protect the public and our partners.

  • Collaborate with the founders and tech team to shape the future of our Scam

Checker, ensuring it stays ahead of new fraud tactics.

  • Investigate the fraud ecosystem like a detective — reverse-engineering scam

techniques and finding smarter ways to block them.

  • Provide actionable insights to banks and organisations, helping them stay

informed about the scams affecting their customers.

  • Act as the voice of the consumer — making sure everything we build is easy to

use, accurate, and genuinely helps people stay safe.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in a fraud, scams, or cybercrime role (financial services,

fintech, law enforcement, or a related startup).

  • A natural investigator who loves unravelling complex fraud schemes and spotting

patterns others might miss.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate scam analysis

into clear, engaging educational content.

  • A blend of analytical and creative thinking — you can go deep into the details but

also zoom out to see the bigger picture.

  • Self-starter mindset — you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable

owning projects end-to-end.
