Marketing & Growth Adviser for strategy
Help shape the marketing and growth strategy of a creative community charity. Use your expertise to refine our audience reach, strengthen our brand, and unlock new income streams that will sustain and expand our social impact.
What difference will you make?
Kainé Management is at an exciting stage of growth. Over the past two decades, we've delivered impactful community, cultural and educational programmes that celebrate diversity and empower local people. However, to continue and scale our work sustainably, we need to strengthen our marketing and earned-income strategy.
This advisory role will play a vital part in that transformation. Your insight will help us better understand our audiences, refine our messaging, and identify viable new markets and partnerships. By improving how we communicate our value and expand our reach, we can attract new participants, clients and supporters - directly increasing our financial resilience.
The marketing and growth strategy you help shape will guide how we present our programmes, price our services, and engage with funders and partners. It will also help our team become more confident in using data, storytelling and digital tools to reach new audiences.
Ultimately, this role will help Kainé Management move from being primarily grant-funded to a more balanced and sustainable model - enabling us to invest more in our people, facilities and community impact.
Your contribution will leave a lasting legacy a stronger, more visible organisation with the marketing confidence to grow its mission and transform more lives across Leicester and beyond.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a
strategic, creative and community-minded marketing professional
who can help Kainé Management strengthen its visibility, engagement and income generation.
Our ideal volunteer will bring a balance of
commercial awareness
and
social purpose
, understanding how to use marketing and communications to drive both growth and impact.
Key Skills And Experience
- Strategic marketing expertise Experience developing and delivering marketing or audience-growth strategies that connect with diverse audiences and drive measurable results.
- Commercial and business insight Ability to identify and shape income-generating opportunities, develop pricing or value propositions, and apply marketing thinking to business development.
- Brand and messaging skills Strong understanding of how to build compelling, authentic brand narratives and translate mission and impact into clear, engaging messages.
- Digital marketing knowledge Familiarity with modern marketing channels such as social media, email campaigns, websites, SEO, content creation and analytics.
- Research and analysis Skilled in using data and market insights to identify audience needs, track performance, and inform decisions.
- Collaboration and communication Comfortable working alongside a small team of passionate staff and trustees, explaining concepts in accessible ways and inspiring confidence.
- Coaching and mentoring approach Willing to share tools, frameworks and examples to help us build internal skills, not just deliver recommendations.

- Believes in community impact and understands the role arts, education and culture play in social change.
- Is curious, empathetic and open-minded, taking the time to understand our communities and co-create practical solutions.
- Has a strategic mindset but can translate ideas into realistic, actionable steps.
- Is flexible and adaptable, comfortable with the realities of a small charity where creativity and resourcefulness matter as much as process.
- Is motivated by purpose — you'll see your advice not just as a business plan but as a way to help people and communities thrive.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with charities, social enterprises or community organisations, especially in arts, culture, or education.
- Understanding of diverse and multicultural audiences, particularly in Leicester or similar communities.
- Knowledge of fundraising communications or public engagement would be a bonus.

The single most valuable quality we're looking for is
strategic empathy

What will you be doing?
We are seeking a strategic
Marketing & Growth Adviser
to help Kainé Management expand its reach, deepen engagement, and increase earned income from our events, workshops and community programmes.
You will work closely with our Co-Founders and Trustees to review our current services and marketing approach, identify new audience opportunities, and develop a practical plan for growth.
Key tasks may include
- Analysing existing programmes and services through a marketing lens to identify strengths, gaps and new audience segments.
- Advising on brand positioning, messaging and value propositions that resonate with our diverse communities.
- Developing marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our cultural and educational offers across digital and offline channels.
- Recommending pricing, partnership and promotional models to enhance visibility and generate new income streams.
- Helping us establish performance indicators and tools to measure marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
- Supporting capacity building by sharing tools, frameworks and marketing know-how with our small but dedicated team.
You'll bring expertise in marketing strategy, audience development or commercial growth — ideally with some experience in the arts, education or social-impact sectors. This is a flexible, advisory role that can be carried out remotely, with opportunities to collaborate in person if preferred.
We welcome someone who can combine strategic insight with a practical, community-minded approach — helping us communicate our story more powerfully and reach the people who will benefit most from our work.
