RESPONSIBLE TO: Nominated Individual / Registered Care Home Manager
JOB SUMMARY
To provide and maintain a high standard of care for service users, whilst supporting the Management team in developing a flexible, caring, sensitive approach to service delivery. To provide a safe and caring environment that promotes good living and underpins the residents' physical, emotional and psychological well-being. In a manner that respects their dignity and privacy, promotes their independence. To behave in a professional manner at all times and develop professional relationships with other agencies including family and other professional services.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To lead and share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity and privacy of the individual and promotes independence.
To assist in securing and sustaining the home for the service users, and to promote a safe, caring environment through the highest standards of professional practice conductive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users.
Maintaining general tidiness and promoting a homely atmosphere for service users.
To uphold the key principles of service users' rights, citizenship, independence, choice, privacy, fulfilment and dignity.
To work as a team and lead the staff on duty and communicate effectively between each other.
To assist the Registered Manager and other Carers to ensure that each service user receives care appropriate to his or her individual needs.
To carry out instructions in accordance with the service user's Care Plan under the supervision of Registered Care Home Manager and the administration and management of medication.
We do not offer sponsorships and are currently looking for staff for contracts of 33.45hrs .
To work to an agreed schedule and rota.
