Purpose of Role

VINCI Facilities is seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Defence team based in Whitehall, London. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a leading facilities management and construction services provider, working on high-profile projects in a secure environment. Due to the nature of the work, this position requires sole UK nationality, as enhanced vetting will be conducted at a later stage.

Job Description

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of projects within the Defence sector. You will work closely with senior surveyors and project managers to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and value delivery across our operations in a highly secure setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
• Support in managing subcontractor accounts and processing payments.
• Monitor project costs and prepare financial reports.
  
  Contribute to risk management and value engineering exercises.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships

Essential Qualifications/Skills

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be a sole UK national (due to enhanced security vetting requirements).
• Previous experience in a similar role or construction environment is desirable but not essential.
