Job Title: Breakfast and Afterschool Club Manager (22 ½ hours per week Term Time only)
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 7:20am-8:50 am and 3:00pm-6:00pm
Salary: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
Primary Purpose: To deliver quality provision, support & ensure appropriate care & welfare of the children in the OSC environment.
Responsible to: Manager (Line Manager), Deputy Manager
Principal responsibilities: To maintain the safety and security of the children in the setting. Maintain a stimulating and reassuring environment for children, implementing planned play activities for sensory and intellectual development. To support the development of language and to support children's social & emotional development as well as physical development needs.
MAIN DUTIES
To support & liaise with the Line Manager on a daily basis.
To plan and deliver the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum that will meet the requirements of relevant national and local standards.
To deliver and monitor the provision of the high-quality care & education for children & families.
To observe, monitor & contribute towards feedback to parents about children's progression.
To maintain client confidentiality.
To report any injury or accident ensuring that health & safety of the individual is maintained.
To report any suspicious or suspected non-accidental injury following the company Safeguarding procedures.
To plan & equip environments for children and involve playworkers in the planning process.
To plan, implement & evaluate learning activities & experiences with the playworkers
To promote the care & education of children with special needs.
To manage yourself.
To create effective working relationships and support playworkers with their development.
To contribute to the effectiveness of teams.
To work with other professionals.
To be flexible within the working practices of the company. To be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery & OSC.
