Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Events Manager to oversee the planning and execution of a diverse range of events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and experience within the hospitality or event management sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead memorable events, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of event delivery, from initial planning through to post-event evaluation, while maintaining high standards of guest services and organisational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all phases of event planning, including venue selection, logistics, catering, entertainment, and décor.
  • Develop detailed event timelines and budgets, ensuring all elements are executed within scope and financial parameters.
  • Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Oversee on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring smooth operations throughout.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely setup and service delivery.
  • Lead a team of staff or contractors during events to ensure excellent guest services and adherence to organisational standards.
  • Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event management within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or fundraising sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability in upselling services or products to enhance revenue streams during events.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in guest services and hospitality environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly across varied schedules including evenings and weekends when required.
  • Proficiency in organisational tools such as scheduling software or project management platforms is advantageous. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
