We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff, including cooks and junior chefs, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards
  • Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and timely delivery of meals
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to ensure adequate supplies are available
  • Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
  • Assist in menu planning and development to innovate culinary offerings

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
