Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive kitchen experience. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that meet our standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development within a vibrant hospitality environment. 40 Hours a week (Max)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that align with restaurant standards and customer preferences.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee food production processes, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the kitchen.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation at all times.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
  • Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent team management abilities with a focus on leadership and motivation.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
  • Strong understanding of food production processes within a restaurant setting.
  • Experience in hospitality or restaurant operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service hours.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,600.00-£30,000.00 per year
