The Technology Project Commercial Manager will support delivery and European Technology project across the portfolio. The Role is an essential point of contact for all European Technology projects. Therefore, it is important that they build appropriate and effective relationships with internal teams and suppliers, across several projects running simultaneously, along with other IT related functions. The role will be 50% office based at our London HQ with frequently planned travel to data centre locations in the UK and Europe.

The Role

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial trackers to provide clear visibility of each project's financial position.
  • Raise and manage contracts and purchase orders, ensuring all costs are correctly allocated to the appropriate budgets, cost categories, and vendors.
  • Monitor and record the delivery of goods and services to enable timely recognition of deliveries and accruals.
  • Lead month-end review meetings with Programme Managers to assess project progress and evaluate financial impacts.
  • Coordinate inputs from the wider team to prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc management reports for senior leadership.
  • Complete monthly financial submissions to Finance, including accruals, cashflow forecasts, and updates to project completion estimates.
  • Support preparation and delivery of the monthly European Technology portfolio review meetings.
  • Develop a strong understanding of financial systems and processes to act as a key point of contact for Finance Operations within the Technology function.
  • Support Programme Managers throughout the procurement process, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead and contribute to internal continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial and operational performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience providing co-ordination support to complex business functions
  • Proven experience providing administrative and financial support to project managers
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and without supervision
  • Diligent, with attention to detail
  • Ability to cope successfully under pressure and with shifting priorities
  • Professional and positive
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; able to manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and with other departments.
  • Valid Passport and willing to travel.
