Practice Manager – Poultry Health Services
Location: Sheriff Hutton
Full-Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
40 hours per week

Poultry Health Services (PHS) is a national veterinary practice dedicated to poultry and gamebirds. We're looking for a Practice Manager to join our team in a pivotal front-of-house role. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive and dynamic team within a growing national company.
What You'll Be Doing:
As Practice Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, acting as a vital link between colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
Office & Premises Management
- Overseeing general office operations and stock control
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs
- Managing communications and correspondence
- Leading premises-related projects
Human Resources
- Supporting staff induction, training, and CPD
- Driving strategic improvements and change initiatives
- Promoting a positive, proactive workplace culture
Health & Safety
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, COSHH and medicines legislation
- Reviewing and improving security arrangements
IT & Systems
- Managing practice management systems
- Using business software effectively to support operations
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in administration and management
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Background in HR and financial management
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, delegate, and stay calm under pressure
- Veterinary sector experience is a plus, but not essential
