Peripatetic Manager:

Are you an inspiring leader with a passion for person-centred support, innovation, and high-quality service delivery? We're looking for a Peripatetic Manager to join our team and drive positive change across a variety of operational services.

About the Role:

As a Peripatetic Manager, you will lead, develop, and motivate teams to deliver excellent and evolving support across all operational directorates. You'll champion human rights, equality, diversity, and inclusion—ensuring that the people we support are at the centre of everything we do.

This dynamic role requires flexibility and the ability to work across a range of service delivery models. You will promote a positive culture, model best practice, and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide flexible management cover across operational directorates, including short-notice deployments.

Deliver agreed continuous improvement objectives with Heads of Service and Regional Leads.

Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and monitor staffing levels to maintain high-quality support.

Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement across teams.

Review KPIs, service plans, and management data to drive improvement through reflective practice.

Lead service innovation by encouraging new approaches, technology use, and partnership working.

Use a data-driven, digital-first approach to provide assurance and improve service delivery.

Ensure personalised, strength-based support that promotes equity, citizenship, and adherence to care plans.

Manage service finances, including staffing/resource planning within agreed budgets.

Oversee day-to-day service performance and contribute to KPI and compliance reporting.

Build and maintain strong relationships with professionals, families, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

Management experience within social care.

Experience supporting people with disabilities and/or autistic people with complex needs.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and compliance standards.
