About the Role
JME Care is looking for compassionate and dedicated Community Support Workers to join our team in Scunthorpe. You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own homes, helping them live as independently and comfortably as possible.
Please note:
- This is not a domiciliary care role - you will support one individual per shift, rather than making multiple visits.
- Unfortunately, we cannot offer Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Community Support Worker, you'll help individuals with their daily living activities and personal goals. This may include:
- Supporting with personal care, dressing, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
- Encouraging and assisting with social activities, hobbies, and community engagement.
- Accompanying individuals to medical appointments.
- Administering and managing medication safely.
- Promoting and maintaining personal relationships with family and friends.
- Managing and responding calmly to behaviours that may challenge.
Our services operate 24/7, so shifts may include:
- Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:00pm
- Night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:00am
- Mixed shifts: 8:00am – 11:00pm (inclusive of a sleep-in)
You must be available for all shift patterns.

No prior experience is necessary - full training and support will be provided. We're looking for people who are caring, motivated, and eager to make a difference.
You should have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to use your initiative.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
- The ability to remain calm and supportive during challenging situations.
- Confidence in managing behaviours that challenge, with a person-centred approach.
- Good English language skills (spoken and written).
