*Job Description:*
Reporting to the Head and Vice President of Global Retirement, Benefits and Well-being, TD Bank, and accountable to the Head of HR for Europe & APAC, the HR Director, Retirement, Benefits & Wellbeing is responsible for implementing TD's benefit and retirement strategy in alignment and direct partnership with the Enterprise Retirement, Benefits & Well Being team. The role manages the renewals, program enhancements, market reviews, regulatory changes and delivery of retirement, benefits and wellbeing and owns the relationship with the providers while proactively engaging Retirement, Benefits and Well-Being partners. This role also acts as a subject matter expert regarding legislation impacting Europe & APAC Retirement, Benefit & Well-being policies and ensures compliance to the Global Benefits & Retirement Policies. This role also undertakes project-based activities, which in the past have included the introduction of flexible benefits (TD Select) and will include TD Cowen integration efforts.
*Job Description*
- Accountable for the Retirement, Benefits & well-being offerings, and programs for 12 countries in Europe & APAC ; ensuring programs are competitive and financially sustainable.
- Policy & Program Development: Oversee the design and delivery of HR Retirement, Benefits and Well-being plans, policies, and programs; monitor effectiveness and recommend improvements. This includes annual enrolments, ongoing management of Insurance claims - ensuring any payments are made in line with local legislative requirement and trust deeds.
- Provide Specialized Expertise: Act as a deep subject matter expert within Retirement, Benefits and well-being, delivering advice and solutions aligned with enterprise strategies.
- Consultation & Advisory: Offer specialized HR-related advice and support to management and leadership teams, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Industry Awareness: Maintain ongoing knowledge and awareness of changing Europe & APAC employment law, regional benefits and retirement rules and regulations in order to recommend and implement changes to HR benefit policies, programs and practices in partnership with key stakeholders such as HR Operations and the Global Retirement, Benefits and Well-being Centre of Excellence
- Leadership & Influence: Responsible for leading a team of two while also serving as a key contact for HR initiatives, influencing decisions and guiding complex projects with minimal supervision
- Knowledge Sharing: Provide consultation and share expert knowledge with HR teams and business leaders to support organizational goals. [
- Vendor Management: As owner of third-party retirement, benefits and well-being contracts, responsible for risk assessments for third party systems and working closely with strategic sourcing, vendor management and Third-Party Risk on all vendor engagements, including completion of any Privacy impact assessment of Retirement, Benefits and Well-being vendors.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage effective relationships with the Enterprise COE's and senior levels, with all TDBFG Businesses.
- Governance: Protect the interests of the Bank by overseeing the accurate completion of documents and adherence to operating standards and processes and keeping procedures updated.
*Education And Experience*
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ Years of related experience
- In depth knowledge of UK, Ireland and APAC legislation, compliance, and tax requirements, including understanding of retirement and complex benefits, Life Assurance Trusts, taxation of benefits and UK HMRC Share plan requirements
- Advanced knowledge of benefit and retirement practices in UK, Ireland, and Singapore (other APAC countries would be an asset)
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide consultative advice
- Superb attention to detail and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- The ability to balance competing priorities using sound business judgment
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrated experience effectively leading change in a matrixed organization in a timely fashion that responds to changing priorities
- Mergers and Acquisitions integration experience would be an asset
