ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for day to day management, preparation and service of Bakery and Pastry, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times to the standards required by the hotel. To ensure that strict hygiene controls are kept in all Kitchen areas when under Head Chef Pastry supervision. To ensure the smooth running of the food operation including the maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in a similar setting, or Michelin star restaurant
  • Preferred previous head chef experience
  • Must be able to temper chocolate
  • Must be able to work clean and tidy and in a timely manner
  • Excellent time management both of themselves and the team
  • Demonstrates excellent skills and creativity in one or more aspects of patisserie. ie: sugar, chocolate, plated desserts, Banqueting and or afternoon tea
  • Must have good communications skills, both written and verbal
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Food Hygiene Certificate, Food Safety Level 2
  • Competition certificate or awards for cooking
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Artistic abilities
  • Articulate and imaginative
  • A flexible attitude to working hours
  • Good communication skills
  • Interest in Food and the industry
