Who are we?
Atlas Venture Partners is a boutique talent and organisational consultancy fuelling the success of the world's leading venture capital funds and their portfolios.
We partner with the worlds leading investors such as General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Northzone and Seedcamp, helping their companies scale across the UK, Europe, and the US. Our work spans high-growth sectors like AI, deep tech, robotics, and frontier technologies, building teams and organisational foundations that define the next generation of category leaders, including the world's latest unicorns.
We're a small, high-performing team that operate as trusted advisors and operators, embedded within the VC ecosystem and deeply involved in helping founders navigate the complexities of growth, people, and leadership.
If you want to work on the cutting edge of technology and venture, surrounded by ambitious, intelligent, and creative people then this is the place to do it.
How do we work?
You'll play a central role in delivering best in class talent solutions for our VC and portfolio companies.
You'll own relationships end-to-end, partnering with founders to define and execute on hiring strategies, through to sourcing, assessing, and closing hires. You'll also contribute to broader organisational work: helping shape structures, teams, and culture as our clients scale.
It's both a hands-on and strategic role, suited to someone who thrives on complexity, operates with maturity, and takes genuine pride in delivering excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with founders, executives, and VCs to define and execute hiring strategies.
- Own full-cycle search for critical hires across multiple verticals.
- Provide market insight, compensation benchmarking, and organisational design input.
- Act as a trusted advisor to founders during key growth inflection points.
- Support internal projects to improve Atlas's delivery systems, data, and tools.
- Represent Atlas within the venture ecosystem, strengthening our brand and relationships.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone exceptional, a mix of recruiter, operator, and strategist.
You might have:
- 5–10 years' experience in in-house talent and or VC/startup recruiting.
- Exposure to VC-backed tech companies across Europe and/or the US, from Seed stage a big plus.
- The ability to manage and influence founders with credibility and composure.
- A deep understanding of technical and/or commercial hiring (Research and ML, Engineering, Product, GTM, or Executive).
- Exceptional organisation, communication, and judgment.
- A proactive, curious mindset — you love learning about new markets and emerging tech.
- The drive to operate independently and thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
What can we offer?
We're building something different - a boutique, elite, and highly respected consultancy with global reach.
What you'll get:
- Autonomy & trust:
Operate as a true partner, not a cog in a machine. - Exposure:
Direct access to VCs, founders, and leadership teams at world-class companies. - Growth:
A front-row seat to the venture ecosystem, with scope to evolve into client ownership, leadership, or even Partnership within Atlas. - Reward:
Competitive base, strong bonus potential, and long-term upside linked to firm performance. - Environment:
A culture built on integrity, excellence, and mutual respect — no egos, no bureaucracy, just high performance and genuine collaboration. - Office:
WeWork All Access Pass with HQ near London Victoria station. - Travel:
National and International travel opportunities onsite with our portfolio companies.
Interview Process
We keep our process simple, focused, and human:
- Initial Conversation (30 mins)
– Informal chat with Alex Lewis (Founder) to understand your background, motivations, and fit. - Case Study Interview (90 mins)
- Final Interview (45 mins)
– Culture and values discussion with Alex; alignment on expectations, goals, and potential growth path.
