Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests and family alike. Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to work in a setting where attention to detail and excellent customer service are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise guest rooms, common areas, and general facilities to the highest standards
  • Make beds, change linens, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust surfaces, and clean windows as required
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
  • Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising linen and towels
  • Provide excellent manners by communicating to guest and family requests courteously and efficiently
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential
  • Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage but are not mandatory
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
