The Role:
We're seeking an experienced communications professional to join the Corporate Communications and PR Team as Communications and Alumni Engagement Officer.
Working with colleagues in the Recruitment, Marketing & Communications department, and across the University, you will deliver a broad range of communications activity with a key focus on supporting delivery of our Alumni engagement strategy for our global Alumni community. You will have the opportunity to support other communications activities delivered within the department.
This is a varied role ideal for someone driven to deliver engaging audience focused content across a range of channels. You'll possess strong content creation skills, including copy development, design and delivery of newsletters, social media and web content. Being organised is vital as well as being equally comfortable working on your own and as part of team of fellow communication professionals.
The role is office based but hybrid working is available for two days a week. On occasion you will be required to support for major University events which will require work out of hours e.g. weekends (notice will be provided).
The role is full-time but the department may offer reduced hours for the right candidate.
The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 19 November 2025.
This appointment is a fixed term contract for 12 months (or the earlier return of the substantive post holder) to cover a period of maternity leave.
