Role Overview

We are looking for a
creative, organised, and proactive Social Media Manager
to help lead the society's public presence as we continue to grow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the society's digital identity, ensuring consistent communication, branding, and engagement across our platforms.

This role plays a key part in shaping how the society is perceived by students, alumni, professionals, and future partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule weekly posts across LinkedIn (and future platforms)
  • Create clean, professional and engaging content using templates or tools
  • Work with committee members to promote events, projects, and initiatives
  • Review submissions from contributors and ensure content is clear and audience-ready
  • Monitor engagement analytics and suggest improvements based on performance
  • Maintain a consistent tone, style, and branding across all platforms

Requirements

  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Interest in marketing, content creation, or digital branding
  • Reliable and able to meet timelines
  • Studying at the University of Portsmouth
  • On course for at least a 2:1 in the degree you are studying
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Have an interest in Economics and Marketing
  • Prior involvement in content, marketing, or student societies
  • Be registered with the Economics and Finance Society
