We're working with two specialist provisions in Basingstoke and Aldershot who are both seeking an SEN Teacher to start in January 2026 on a full-time basis (part-time options will be considered for the right person).

You'll be mostly teaching English and Maths to SEN learners working at KS1–KS2 level, so we welcome primary-trained teachers to apply.

The focus isn't on GCSEs, but on Functional Skills and helping learners build confidence and core understanding through adaptive, engaging teaching.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging English and/or Maths lessons for SEN learners
  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of individual needs
  • Track progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Support wider school priorities such as reading and cultural capital

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching primary or lower-secondary learners
  • A nurturing, adaptable approach to supporting SEN students
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
