Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and manage the Deaf Inclusion Consultants, Deaf Inclusion Trainers, and Employment Support Teams to deliver consistent, high-quality services.

Coordinate with the ClickBSL, Interpreting, and Translation Teams to ensure seamless client support.

Oversee onboarding, service agreements, audits, and client satisfaction.

Line manage team performance, development, and wellbeing.

Sales & Growth

Actively promote and sell Deaf Aware Membership, guiding employers from Pledge to Full Membership.

Collaborate with the ClickBSL and Interpreting Teams to promote both onsite and remote communication support.

Identify cross-selling opportunities for training, consultancy, and translation services.

Represent Positive Signs at business and sector events to recruit new members and partners.

DeafWORK Development

Lead the launch, growth, and management of DeafWORK — the UK's Deaf inclusive job platform for Deaf job seekers.

Ensure a regular flow of Deaf-inclusive job listings.

Build relationships with Deaf-led organisations, charities, and inclusive employers to populate and promote the platform.

Oversee content quality, ensuring every job advert includes BSL translation and captions, meeting accessibility standards.

Track platform performance, employer engagement, and impact metrics.

Deaf Aware Membership – National Benchmark Development

Lead the development of Deaf Aware Membership as the UK's recognised benchmark for Deaf Inclusivity.

Strengthen the Membership framework to ensure it represents best practice in workplace accessibility, policy, training, and communication.

Oversee the audit and assessment process to guide members from Pledge to Full Membership.

Build partnerships with employers, accreditation bodies, and industry networks to establish the Membership as a national inclusion standard.

Ensure all Membership resources and training are fully accessible in BSL.

Employment Support

Oversee the full Employment support service, ensuring Deaf clients receive accurate, timely, and person-centred guidance.

Manage AtW application meetings, renewals, and change-of-circumstance processes.

Ensure all client funding applications and renewals are compliant and supported by the required documentation.

Collaborate with the Finance Team to manage AtW-related invoicing, renewals, and payments.

Maintain clear communication between clients, employers, and the Interpreting Team.

Deaf Inclusion Consultants

Oversee and support the Deaf Inclusion Consultants to deliver workplace audits, AtW support, and inclusion consultancy.

Ensure all consultants provide accurate advice for AtW applications, correct BSL support recommendations, and appropriate Deaf Aware training pathways.

Monitor audit quality and ensure recommendations align with the Deaf Aware Membership standards.

Deaf Aware & Discover BSL Courses

Manage the Deaf Inclusion Trainers responsible for delivering Deaf Aware and Discover BSL courses onsite and online.

Ensure trainers maintain consistent quality, accurate BSL use, and alignment with Deaf Aware Membership standards.

Oversee scheduling, learner feedback, and course evaluation to maintain high delivery standards.

Ensure every Deaf Aware Member receives access to relevant training, Materials and products as part of their Membership.

Promote Deaf Aware and Discover BSL as core components of workplace inclusion and ongoing professional development.

Collaboration & Reporting

Collaboration with the Translation Team to ensure all DeafWORK and Deaf Aware Membership website content, job listings and employers materials are accurately translated into BSL.

Work closely with the Creative Team to develop promotional campaigns and share Deaf Inclusion success stories.

Collaborate with the Finance Team on invoice, AtW payments and revenue tracking.

Provide regular reports on membership growth, DeafWork metrics, and Deaf Aware Membership participation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 per week
