We are looking for an experienced, creative, caring and enthusiastic Activity & Well-being Co-Ordinator to join the team at our residential care home. You'll play a vital role in enriching the daily lives of our residents by planning and leading a variety of engaging activities that promote well-being, independence and social connection.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities and programs for residents
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of events and activities to ensure a diverse and engaging schedule for residents.
  • Keep social media up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and outside vendors to facilitate activities such as games, crafts, outings, and entertainment.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to residents.
  • Collaborate with the care team to assess residents' needs and preferences in order to create personalized activity plans.
  • Maintain accurate records (using Person Centered Software) of resident participation and progress in activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during all activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar environment or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of care techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with the elderly.
  • Ability to adapt activities to meet the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents.

Hours of work to be discussed on interview and will include some weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.23 per hour
