Job Summary
We are seeking a multi skilled and detail-oriented kitchen fitter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, joinery, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience working on diverse projects such as roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, tiling, floor laying and construction painting. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble joinery components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Install structures such as doors, windows, partitions, and customised woodwork on-site or in workshops.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with roofing tasks, masonry work, plumbing installations, electrical fittings, and construction painting as required.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of all building elements.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Read technical drawings and blueprints accurately to execute precise joinery work.
- Contribute to project planning by estimating material requirements and timeframes.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers.
- Proficiency with power tools including drills, sanders, and saws.
- Experience working on roofing projects or masonry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of electrical systems or plumbing installations is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in demanding environments.
- Prior experience in construction painting or general building maintenance is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings and follow safety protocols diligently.
