Within our Community Children and Young People's Services (CCYPS), we are looking for a passionate and experienced Centre Manager to lead the administrative functions and facilities management of our Children's Development Centre, and other community children's specialist services bases where needed. This is a key role focused on ensuring the smooth running of our centre / bases, supporting clinical teams, managing resources efficiently and creating a nurturing environment for children to thrive.

The role is for 22.5 hours per week (0.6 wte) Band 5 based at the Children's Development Centre, Nottingham City Hospital Site.

excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, with a child- and family-focused approach.

ability to mange competing priorities across different sites

Qualifications:

management qualification to diploma level or equivalent training and experience

driving licence

Enhanced DBS clearance will be required.

Key responsibilities :

Oversee day-to-day delivery of services within the Children's Development Centre (CDC), ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.

Lead and manage administrative and support staff across our children's services, fostering positive and productive working environments.

Provide H and S oversight of our other bases where needed.

Work closely with clinical teams to support service delivery and patient experience.

Oversee procurement processes and liaise with contractors and suppliers.

Ensure health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control protocols are followed.

This includes:

Efficient day-to-day delivery of services within the Children's Development Centre (and wider staff bases where needed).

Comprehensive management and oversight of the administration team across all services within Community Children and Young People's Services.

Ensuring that the CDC and other bases are both safe and secure for all users and to ensure that patients other users of the building are met by a welcoming and efficient first point of contact, whether in person or by telephone.

Ensuring effective and safe space utilisation within the buildings

Ensuring that all policies and procedures relevant to staff and premises are adhered to contributing to the development of local policies and procedures.

Contribute to effective business and emergency planning
