SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

£45,000 - £60,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)

Location: HACKNEY, LONDON

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team of purpose driven engineers in London Fields . The individual will work within one of our Associate led teams with junior engineers working directly for them. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing practice and help shape the future direction of the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ideally chartered with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or close to chartership
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in building structures design across a range of sectors and construction types
  • Strong technical expertise in the design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures
  • Ability to lead projects from concept through to construction, including coordination with multidisciplinary design teams
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on buildability and delivering practical design solutions
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Directors and Associates to deliver high-quality structural engineering design
  • Liaise with architectural, civil and building services teams to ensure coordinated and efficient design solutions
  • Take a client-facing role as a main point of contact on projects
  • Lead the structural design on a range of projects, from feasibility through detailed design and site support
  • Produce design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports
  • Manage project programmes and deliverables to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Contribute to the development of internal standards, processes and team capabilities
