Position:About the Role
Working within the Finance department, the post holder will work alongside other finance assistants to process the financial tasks each week. The post holder is responsible, in collaboration with the other finance assistants, for ensuring that the financial tasks set out for the week are completed in a timely and accurate manner. They will support the Assistant Accountant in ensuring that the financial systems are up to date and reflect the requirements of the College's other departments. The role requires an eye for detail, the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders and the ability to complete work with minimal oversight.
Requirements:Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills
This is a superb opportunity for an individual who is confident, methodical, organised and conscientious.
Educated to a minimum level of Advanced Higher/ A Level (or equivalent) you will have proven administrative and database experience.
You will have excellent communication and team working skills. You will be a proficient user of the MS Office suite and have the ability to prioritise your workload with minimum supervision. A high-level understanding of accounting principles and financial processes will be advantageous.
Experience with financial administration including invoices, bank payments and accounting systems is desirable.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail ,and organisational skills are essential. As is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
