Job Summary

The Part – Time Finance Assistant reports directly to the COO. The ideal applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the transactional finance function, supporting the next stage of our growth. You will need to be flexible, pro-active and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment in a small team.

This is an integral position in the organisation and will require someone to be organised, with good attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy with previous accounting experience. The role is best suited to candidates who are looking for a part-time opportunity over 21 hours per week.

Duties

  • Assist with processing invoices, receipts, and expense claims in accordance with company policies
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records and filing systems
  • Reconcile accounts and bank statements regularly
  • Process staff expense reimbursements
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial procedures and systems

Experience

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential;
  • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Experience of Sage 200 Professional or and ERP system an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent numerical proficiency and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is preferred

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 21 per week
