Cambridge CB WL, United Kingdom Complete Fabrications Full time £24,420 - £27,000 per year

Office Administrator / Office Manager (Flexible Hours – Cambridge)

Location: Cambridge, UK

Type: full-time (flexible working patterns available)

Hours: Flexible to suit around school hours – must be available past 3pm at least 1–2 days per week

Salary: Depending on experience

About Us

We're a small, fast-moving rapid prototyping company based in Cambridge, producing high-quality 3D prints and models for clients across a range of industries. As a close-knit team of 10, we all roll up our sleeves and get stuck in – from the workshop to the front office. We're going through an exciting period of change and growth, so we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us.

The Role

We're looking for a proactive, organized, and hands-on Office Administrator (or Office Manager / EA) who's not afraid to tackle a mix of tasks — from filing and answering the phone to supporting with KPIs, ISO documentation, and packing up jobs for dispatch.

No two days will be the same. Some tasks are routine, others will stretch your problem-solving and organizational skills. You'll be supporting management, production, and finance while keeping the business running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Office Admin: Manage calls, emails, filing, supplies, and building maintenance.
  • Goods In / Goods Out: Receive and dispatch jobs, including booking couriers and packing items.
  • Finance Support: Process purchase and sales invoices, reconcile delivery notes, and maintain records.
  • Purchasing & Ordering: Order materials, track supplier orders, and monitor progress against job deadlines.
  • KPI & ISO Admin: Maintain KPI records, ensure ISO documentation and audit compliance.
  • H&S & Compliance: Support with Health & Safety checks, fire alarm testing, and equipment calibration.
  • Staff Admin: Maintain HR files, timesheets, holidays, and sickness records.
  • Meeting Support: Organize daily management meetings, circulate notes, and keep action points on track.
  • Workshop Support: Maintain workshop manual, supplier lists, and tool log systems.
  • IT & Systems: Provide basic IT support and liaise with external providers.

About You

You're a self-starter who thrives in a small team environment where everyone pitches in. You'll be comfortable switching between admin, coordination, and practical tasks — whatever needs doing that day.

You'll have:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good communication and confidence on the phone
  • A practical, can-do attitude
  • Competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Experience in admin, office management, or EA roles (ideally in a small business or technical setting)

Bonus: Experience with ISO systems, KPIs, or light operations management.

Why Join Us

  • Friendly, supportive team culture
  • Varied, hands-on role with real impact
  • Flexible working hours (ideal for parents or those seeking work-life balance)
  • Opportunity to grow – potential to develop into quoting, project support, or workshop coordination as we expand

Interested?

If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and become an integral part of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
