A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Westminster is seeking a passionate and reflective Religious Studies Teacher to join their thriving Humanities department on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and expertise.
- Foster a respectful and open-minded learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring a wide range of religious and non-religious worldviews.
- Encourage critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and respectful dialogue about complex issues related to religion, philosophy, and belief.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a rich and diverse Religious Studies curriculum that reflects the multicultural nature of society.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them develop their understanding of religious and philosophical concepts.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Religious Studies or related subjects.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- A passion for Religious Studies and a commitment to promoting understanding and tolerance of different beliefs and values.
