What you'll bring to the team
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction and fit-out, ideally within events, attractions, or experiential installations, to lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects. You will ensure attraction builds and themed environments are delivered on time, within budget, and to Merlin's high standards of quality, safety, and guest experience. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Director, you will plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction and fit-out activities, liaising with internal teams and external contractors, fabricators, and suppliers. You will manage detailed build programmes, installation schedules, budgets, and on-site works, ensuring all elements meet specifications and brand standards. Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting cost planning, and driving smooth handovers to operational teams. The role requires hands-on problem-solving, collaboration, and strict adherence to health, safety, and sustainability principles.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience delivering small to large-scale projects within defined timeframes and budgets.
- Proven experience in construction/fit-out work, ideally within events, attractions, or experiential installations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, or a related field, would be desirable.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and documentation standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers in complex project environments.
Familiarity with cost control, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Experience in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to construction and attraction development.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and maintain strong attention to detail.
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and proficient in project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar.
