Pro Bono and Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Pro Bono and Project Manager will work alongside the NY Director to expand the reach of The Schools Consent Project in 2026. This includes nurturing relationships with current volunteers, law firms as well as in-house teams and cultivating new relationships. Reports to:
NY Director and collaborates with our team in London, including our CEO/Founder and UK Director.
Role and Responsibilities:
Outreach to law firms and in-house legal teams
Maintain and expand relationships with current law firms and in-house legal teams
Conduct training sessions with prospective volunteers
Conduct assessments of volunteer lawyers and be first point of contact for new lawyers
Outreach to schools, after-school programs, parent groups
Book and coordinate workshops with schools and lawyers
Conduct workshops with middle and high school students
Work with team to develop a sustainable growth strategy
Various administrative tasks
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Essential:
JD with preference for NYS legal experience
Flexibility and ability to work within a non-profit start up organization
Experience in a public interest law role, or at a law firm with significant pro bono experience
Knowledge of the juvenile justice system, and/or sex education landscape and/or non-profit governance
Comfort with public speaking
Passion for working with young people of diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings
Comfort traveling in all five boroughs of NYC and potentially in neighboring areas
Project management skills
Strong leadership skills
Personal commitment to gender equality and desire to end sexual violence
Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Microsoft products
Desirable:
Fundraising experience
Fluency in Spanish
Knowledge of the NYC public and/or independent school system
Prior experience with start-up organizations
Experience/interest in teaching/curriculum development/child development/marketing/communications/social media/media/sales
Generous vacation and holiday policy. Salary range $80,000-$100,000 commensurate with experience. NYS Sick and Safe Time: 40 hours.
Health care reimbursement consistent with Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement.
This is a hybrid role without a set physical office. Some work can be done remotely from anywhere, in addition to frequent travel within the 5 boroughs of NYC and additional travel within the state. Occasional out-of-state travel is possible.
