Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

· Leadership – Working hand in hand with the Store Manager & Ops Manager to drive results and achieve goals by developing and coaching partners to drive the business forward.

· Demonstrate a calm demeanor to keep the store operating to brand standards and set a positive example for the team.

· Displays a customer comes first' attitude by helping to train and hold the store team accountable for delivering world class customer service.

· Support community programmes and groups by being actively engaged in our local communities.

· Manage with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.

· Work with the Store Manager to provide partners with timely coaching, feedback and development opportunities and help build an effective team.

· Deputize for the Store Manager and manage the store during any periods of holiday or absence.

· Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings (from 6am), evenings and weekends.

You will require a minimum of two years' experience in at least a Shift Management/Assistant Management capacity or above in a branded food and beverage, hospitality or Quick Service Restaurant business that requires a lot of interaction with customers; managing a team to deliver brand standards; responsibility for training teams; and experience of delivering KPI's. Any experience of management in Starbucks or branded coffee shops would be advantageous.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Able to take a lead role to manage store operations under the guidance of a Store Manager/Ops Manager but also using own initiative

· Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge about and a passion for coffee

· Great interpersonal skills

· Experience of delivering outstanding customer service

· Knowledge of management practices and procedures and how to get the best from people

· Good organisation and planning skills and ability to multi-task

· Strong operational skills in a branded customer-service led environment

· Great natural leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor others and keep the team engaged

· An ambition & capability for a Store management position with the company in the future.
