Full-time | Stamford | Leadership role with long-term growth
We're looking for an experienced Lettings Manager to take full ownership of our lettings operation and lead its growth. This is a senior position for someone with strong experience, high standards, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.
You'll oversee the full lettings cycle and the daily running of the department. You'll also play a key role in recruiting and shaping the future lettings team. About the role
You'll be the go-to lettings expert within the business, responsible for compliance, operations, tenancy progression, landlord care, tenant care, and property management.
You'll work closely with the directors to help drive performance, create strong processes, and build a department that reflects our high standards and customer-first approach.
This role suits someone who is adaptable, quick-thinking, comfortable with change, and confident in making decisions. We also have dogs in the office, so you'll need to be dog-friendly and happy working around them.
Key responsibilities
Operational leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the lettings department
- Create and refine processes, workflows, and service standards
- Ensure full compliance with UK lettings legislation and industry best practice
- Support strategic planning and portfolio growth
Landlord and tenant care
- Conduct rental valuations and provide expert advice
- Manage listings, enquiries, viewings, and negotiations
- Build strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors
- Deliver outstanding customer communication at every stage
Tenancy progression
- Coordinate referencing, tenancy agreements, inventories, check-ins, and check-outs
- Ensure compliance with Right to Rent, How to Rent, safety requirements, and deposit protection
- Handle renewals, rent reviews, notices, and tenancy changes
- Manage tenancy issues and disputes with professionalism and care
Property management
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, inspections, and certification requirements
- Ensure landlords meet all legal obligations (EPCs, EICRs, gas safety, smoke/CO alarms)
- Manage contractor relationships and property queries
Team development
- Take an active role in hiring and onboarding new lettings team members
- Support training, mentoring, and building a positive team culture
About you
- At least 5 years' experience in a UK lettings role
- ARLA minimum, ideally MARLA
- Strong knowledge of UK lettings legislation and compliance
- Proven track record in property management, tenancy progression, and landlord/tenant care
- Confident, customer-focused, and committed to high standards
- Adaptable, quick-thinking, and comfortable with change
- Friendly, proactive, and able to build trust with clients and colleagues
- Happy working in a dog-friendly office
- Looking for a long-term, stable role where you can lead and grow a department
